Maserati “Decepticon” Driver Has Police Impersonation Charges Dismissed

A Massachusetts man charged with impersonating a police officer for driving a Maserati that resembled a police cruiser is off the hook.

The Patriot Ledger reports that a clerk magistrate in Quincy District Court on Thursday dismissed the charge, saying 23-year-old Zhang Zhijun, of Braintree, hadn't taken any actions such as pulling over other drivers or pretending to be an officer

UPDATE 3:15pm - The man fatally wounded in a confrontation with a state trooper this morning is from New Bedford.  Authorities say 41-year-old Wilfredo Justiniano was shot in an apparent confrontation with the trooper on Route 28 in Quincy.
