January 17, 2013 A Dartmouth man is in police custody after stealing an elderly woman's wallet, and using some of the cash to buy a gym membership.
According to New Bedford Detective Captain Steve Vicente, 24-year-old Patrick Maccini lifted the wallet out of the 85-year-old woman's shopping cart in the Dartmouth Street Stop & Shop in the South End.
