Joseph Lopes Unanimous Choice As City Council President
The New Bedford City Council has unanimously elected Ward Six Councilor Joseph Lopes as the new Council Presdient for 2014.
In his acceptance speech, Lopes said he was honored to be chosen as president.....
Lopes recognizes the importance of education in the city and hopes the Council can work together with the Superintendent and School Committee moving forward.
