Robbery Suspect Arrested In New Bedford

A New Bedford man faces robbery charges.  Thirty-five year old Timothy Martin of Truro Street was arrested early Friday on Acushnet Avenue.

New Bedford Woman Charged With Thefts From Elderly Residents

 

A New Bedford woman appeared to be targeting elderly residents this past week, taking jewlery and cash once inside their homes.

Police say 29-year-old Tffany Silva was able to rob two women in their 80's on separate occassions, by knocking on their doors and asking for a glass of water.

Update: Suspects In Shooting Appear In District Court

 

Two men arrested in connection with a fatal weekend shooting in New Bedford's South End were arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office said in a statement that 21-year-old Elito Mendes is charged with armed robbery and weapons counts; while 27-year-old Samir Baptista is charged as an accomplice.
