A New Bedford convenience store is robbed by two men, armed with a knife and a samurai sword.

According to police, the two suspects entered the Petro Mart gas station at about 2am Saturday morning, and threatened the male clerk with a kitchen knife, demanding cash, cigarettes and rolling papers. When the clerk tried to fight back, the second suspect drew a 3-foot samurai sword from his waistband. The two men fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the first suspect is a white man, 17 to 20 years old, between 5' 2" and 5' 6", and weighing about 140lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black jeans.

The second suspect is described as a thin Hispanic male, 5' 6", wearing a grey-checked sweatshirt and jeans.

The robbery is under investigation.
