Fall River Police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery of the Bay Coast Bank at 1485 Pleasant Street.

Police allege that 21-year-old Samuel Brooks walked into the bank at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money from a teller after displaying a knife.

He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Detective J.D. Costa said members of the Uniform Division, along with detectives from the Major Crimes Division and Vice & Intelligence Unit, quickly converged on the area.

During a search of the area detectives apprehended Brooks at the intersection of 17th Street and Pleasant Street.

Brooks is being charged with Armed and masked robbery.

Costa says a vehicle associated with Brooks was towed from that location and a search warrant is being applied for so a search for evidence can be conducted.
