Customers can now sign-up online to nominate two schools in their local community to earn money through the A+ School Rewards program at Stop & Shop.

According to South Coast Today.com, "Stop & Shop has donated more than $7 million to New England public and private schools since 2009."

“We are proud to support thousands of schools throughout New England through our A+ Rewards program,” said Mark McGowan, who is the president of Stop & Shop New England's Division. “Over the years, the program has helped to fund educational programs, field trips, scholarships, playgrounds and more, building healthier school communities.”

The A+ School Rewards increase after each purchase when a customer’s Stop & Shop Loyalty Card is used. Customers who designated schools last year do not need to re-designate their schools, but are encouraged to confirm their schools' IDs by going to Stop & Shop’s A+ website.

Also, "[c]ustomers do not need to have a child in school to support their local community. A+ School Rewards is open to everyone and customers can sign up to support a school outside of their local community in order to support a friend or family member’s school."

All schools that are registered will earn points through March 16, 2017.
