State Police nabbed a five-time OUI offender in Wareham Friday night.

Troopers out of the Bourne barracks received reports of a vehicle that had been racing, driving dangerously, and had struck another vehicle before crashing into the median on I-495 South in Wareham.

According to the Massachusetts State Police Facebook page, troopers found an abandoned 2006 Honda Civic abandoned in the median.

A K-9 unit assisted troopers searching for the suspect in the woods.

Sean Cushing, 44, of Wareham was found near the Mill Pond Diner and arrested.

He is charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol (6th Offense), Operating a Motor Vehicle with a License Revoked for being a Habitual Traffic Offender, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Vehicle, Disorderly Conduct, Speeding, and Breakdown Lane Violation.

Cushing is being held on $5,000 bail and will be arraigned on Monday in Wareham District Court.
