State Police Arrest 8 Drunk Drivers in Continued Patrol Surge

The weekend patrol surge promised by Mass. State Police on Route 24 and Interstate 195 continues to result in arrests.  Eight alleged drunk drivers were arrested, and two others were charged with possession of 530 bags of heroin.  Troopers also will summons seven people into court, and wrote 272 motor vehicle citations.  In the three week campaign, State Police have arrested 27 drunk drivers and have made 20 additional arrests.
