Sovereign Bank Changes Name to Santander

Those doing business with Sovereign Bank are going to notice a name change today. Sovereign becomes Santander, which is the name of their parent company.

Bank officials say nothing will change. Customers' account numbers will remain the same and banking services won't change. Only the name will change but the banking services won't. Santander has some 700 United States bank branches and 2 thousand ATM's including dozens in Southeastern Massachusetts.
