Southcoast Rail Meeting Held in Fall River

Mass Pirg held a transportation forum in Fall River Wednesday. Commuter rail advocates voiced their outrage over the legislature's proposed transportation bill that omits mention of Southcoast rail and say they will carry their anger to Beacon Hill.

The legislative plan does not include multiple projects for which the Governor has requested funding, including South Coast rail. Kristie Pecci ,a transportation advocate for Mass Pirg, said that transportation advocates should pressure legislators into not accepting anything less than the governor's proposal.
