If you were hoping to see Seth Rogen and James Franco play spies this Christmas, you are not in luck. After weeks of hacker hassles and threats about the release of this movie, Sony has pulled the plug.

For weeks hackers have been releasing Sony executive emails as well as personal information about lower level employess on the internet, but the studio was at first holding strong and still promoting The Interview.

The the stars Seth Rogen and James Franco cancelled scheduled appearances when the hackers threats started to become violent.

And after a final warning of sorts where the hackers wrote,

"The world will be full of fear. Remember the 11th of September 2001. We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time. (If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)”

theater chains across North America backed out of airing the movie and refused to show The Interview.

And so Sony has decided that with no promotion and limited theater support, they will be cancelling the release of The Interview.

And many people feel this was a horrible move.

Newt Gingrich are among those who do not think Sony made the right move here.

Should Sony have caved to the hackers or should they have held strong and released their film?
