Showdown Brews Between Governor Patrick And Speaker DeLeo

A showdown is brewing between Governor Patrick and House Speaker Robert DeLeo over taxes and transportation.

Patrick vows to veto DeLeo's plan to raise half a billion through hiking taxes on gas and cigarettes, saying it's inadequate. DeLeo says Patrick's plan to raise two-billion through raising the income tax is asking too much.

The plan by DeLeo and Senate President Therese Murray will be debated next week.
