Should “We The People” Decide?

Some of the New Bedford City Councilor's said the issue of the 44% pay raise they gave themselves would gradually fade away from the memories of the local voters, and by the 2013 City Election, it wouldn't be on the people's radar screen.

But local activist Charles Carmo, president of the Minority Action Committee, is circulating a petition asking that the pay raise question be placed as a ballot question this November! Should this pay raise be approved or disapproved by the tax paying voters?
