Many people were using the name Nemo for this weekend's blizzard but many meteorologists refused to use the name, and were not happy that others did.

The Weather Channel started naming winter storms this year to help people more easily track them. But alot of meteorologists don't agree. Thomas Downs of Weather 2000 told the "Los Angeles Times, "This is more of a PR stunt by the Weather Channel."

Joel Meyer, the founder and president of AccuWeather says, "The Weather Channel has confused media spin with science and public safety. We have explored this issue for 20 years and have found that this is not good science and will mislead the public."

Do you think it's a good idea to name the winter storms like we do with hurricanes or is is too confusing?
