Shots Fired In New Bedford

New Bedford Police are investigating after shots were fired Thursday night near Chancery St. and Parker St.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says the Shotspotter system reported that four shots were fired around 7:30 p.m.

Witnesses told police that a male in a blue BMW fired several shots in the direction of a male who was walking in the area.

Vicente says four shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No property damage was reported and police do not have a victim at this time.
