Republican Sen. Scott Brown says he doesn't know what's in his future after his defeat Tuesday to Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren. In a letter to supporters Wednesday, Brown said he couldn't have asked for better allies and friends during the campaign.

Brown makes no mention of speculation about his political future_ including the possibility he could run for governor in two years or try to reclaim a Senate seat if President Obama taps Sen. John Kerry to serve as Secretary of State.

In his letter, Brown said he's not sure what's comes next, ``except a lot of time back at home with the family come January'' when Warren steps into the Senate office.

Brown said he was proud to offer Massachusetts what he called ``three years of independent representation in the Senate.'' (Associated Press)
