Police Still Searching For SUV in New Bedford Car-Jacking

New Bedford Police are continuing to search for a suspect, who brandished a knife and stole a Dartmouth woman’s SUV on Page Street near St. Luke’s hospital Monday afternoon.

Detective Capt. Steven Vicente says that police have not made an arrest or recovered the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The victim, a Dartmouth woman, told the suspect that the vehicle needed oil and he said if she wanted the vehicle back it would be at the McDonald’s Restaurant on Coggeshall Street.

According to police, the missing vehicle, which hasn’t been found, and has Massachusetts registration 74TR71. If anyone spots the vehicle, they are asked to call 911, or Detective Tyrone Jones, 508-991-6300, ext. 134.
