24/7 News Source _ The owner of a Santa Monica, California restaurant is being punished for serving endangered whale meat to customers.

A federal judge has decided The Hump owner Brian Vidor and the restaurant's parent company will jointly pay a 27-thousand dollar fine and be sentenced to probation.

As part of a plea deal, Vidor had admitted that he knew his sushi chefs at the now-closed eatery were serving meat from the endangered Sei whale.
