24/7 News Source - There's a report that comedian Garry Shandling has died.

TMZ reports he died at a Los Angeles area hospital today. The report says the 66-year-old Shandling was not suffering from any illness and that he was alive when he arrived at the hospital.

An actor as well as a producer, Shandling starred in the Showtime sitcom "It's Garry Shandling's Show." He'd go on to star in "The Larry Sanders Show" on HBO in the 1990s.

Before starring in his own shows, Shandling was a regular guest host on "The Tonight Show," subbing for Johnny Carson.

Younger generations may remember him as the sniveling Senator Stern in "Iron Man 2" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
