The Portuguese tall ship "Sagres", which serves as a training vessel for Portugal's Navy, will be making a stop in New Bedford this summer.

State Rep. Antonio Cabral tells WBSM News, the Sagress will be making stops along the East Coast, before coming to New Bedford in early July.

Cabral says Sagres is similar to the U.S. Coast Guard training vessel "Eagle"....

The Sagres has been in New Bedford before. Its best known for the red crosses on its sails.
