Poll: Markey Leads In Senate Race

Poll numbers show Congressman Ed Markey holding a clear advantage over Democratic rival Stephen Lynch in the upcoming Senate race.  

And Markey polls around 20-points higher than Republicans Dan Winslow, Gabriel Gomez and Michael Sullivan.  But a lot could change in coming weeks, as Independent voters are still undecided, and name recognition for the five candidates is low statewide.

UMass Lowell and the Boston Herald polled 589 registered voters Monday and Tuesday.
