NEW BEDFORD — A serious crash remains under investigation in New Bedford's North End.

New Bedford Police say the crash began as a pursuit of a suspect vehicle by Fairhaven Police in that town before 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The pursuit came to an end after the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle at Tallman Street and Ashley Boulevard.

A spokesperson for the Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the accident resulted in "potential serious injury." State Police Detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office are investigating the crash.

Fairhaven Police Lt. Kevin Kobza says the pursuit and subsequent crash are "currently under investigation."
