Police Investigate New Bedford North End Stabbing

Police are investigating another stabbing incident in the North End. State Police came across a disturbance at 145 Tinkham Street  Tuesday evening and found an unidentified 25 year old male suffering serious stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is listed in critical condition. Police say it appears the victim had an argument with an acquaintance he met a few days earlier.

A 6 inch chef style knife that allegedly was used in the incident was found in the third floor apartment's kitchen sink. New Bedford detectives along with the D A's office and the State Police Detective Division are all working on the case  to identify the suspect.
