Police Investigate New Bedford Home Invasion

New Bedford Police are investigating a late morning home invasion Thursday on Marion Street.

According to  Detective Capt. Steve Vincente, 4 men with ski masks entered the second floor residence and confronted the 20 year old female resident and a 46 year old woman from Rochester.

One of the suspects was armed with a crowbar and told the women not to move while the 3 other men went through the apartment and stole a wallet with cash and some jewelery. They fled in a light colored vehicle.

There were no injuries and at this time Police do not believe this was a random act. Anyone with information is asked to call New Bedford Police Detectives at 508-991-6300 ext 320.
