New Bedford Police are looking for a man who tried to fill a phony drug prescription at a South End pharmacy.

Police were called to the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Cove Road Tuesday night, after the man tried to pass a stolen and forged prescription for 60 oxycodone pills.

When the man was questioned about the prescription, he said it was for a family member.  However store officials say the man became nervous and quickly left the store.

Police searched the area but could not find the suspect  Anyone with information should call Detectives at 508 991-6300, ext. 320.
