On Wednesday, Carver Police made an arrest after a three-month heroin distribution investigation and discovered a large amount of the drug.

According to South Coast Today.com, Steven Britt, of 40 Williams Street, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug (heroin), Class A drug trafficking, and two counts of possession of a Class B drug (crack cocaine).

Police discovered that Britt was travelling in one of his two vehicles back and forth to a location north of Boston to pick up a large quantity of heroin. Police watched him and successfully arrested him when he arrived back to his residence.

When police searched Britt’s house, they found and seized approximately 50 grams of heroin, several prescription pills, crack cocaine, and packaging material for drug distribution. The suspect's two vehicles, a 2001 Audi and a 2004 Cadillac were also seized.

On Wednesday, Britt was arraigned in Wareham District Court and was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail.
