The New England Patriots squeaked by the New York Jets Sunday, 17-16 at the Meadowlands.  It was the Pat's 12th win of the year, and earned them a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

New York's defense played tough throughout the game, but New England managed touchdowns by TE Rob Gronkowski and RB Jonas Gray, plus a field goal by Steven Gostkowski, giving the Patriots all the points they would need.

However, the victory wasn't secured till just over five minutes to go in the fourth quarter when Pat's DT Vince Wilfork partially blocked a field goal attempt by Jets kicker Nick Folk.  New England then ran out the clock.

Wideout Danny Amendola caught eight passes for 63 years while subbing for the injured Julian Edleman .  The 12-3 Patriots wrap up the regular season next Sunday by taking on the Buffalo Bills in Foxboro.
