Parking Ban In New Bedford

There will be no school in New Bedford on Tuesday and trash collection will be suspended as well due to the storm.

Mayor Jon Mitchell made the announcement Monday morning while talking with WBSM's Phil Paleogos where he also announced that the city will be implementing its first parking ban of the year.

Mitchell is asking residents to comply with the ban and stay off the roads entirely if possible.

The parking ban begins at 6 p.m. Monday.
