Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) is a prime example of what is wrong with government.  Lee's sense of entitlement and self-importance is legendary dating back to 1994 when she was first elected to Congress.

Jackson Lee, who has a history of throwing her weight around to get her way with airlines is at the center of a United Airlines controversy in which a woman was bumped from her first class seat that somehow went to the congresswoman.  Jackson Lee, who is black, suggested the aggrieved woman, who is white, is a racist for complaining about what happened;

"Since this was not any fault of mine, the way the individual continued to act appeared to be, upon reflection, because I was an African American woman, seemingly an easy target."

Turns out Congresswoman Lee came close to being banned from Continental Airlines for making excessive demands including pressuring staff to upgrade her to first class seats.  In one such incident in1998, Jackson Lee berated a flight attendant;

"Don't you know who I am?  I'm Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.  Where is ,seafood meal?   I know it was ordered!"

A pilot was once forced to toss her misplaced pocketbook out of a cockpit window rather than return to the plane to the terminal so that she could re-board to retrieve it.

In 2014 Jackson Lee was voted the "meanest" member of  Congress and a "show horse" by congressional staffers.  An event coordinator recalls this exchange with Jackson Lee;

"You don't understand, I am a queen and I demand to be treated like a queen."

There are also the stories of how the staff was forced to drive her 200 paces from her home to her office and sit for hours in an idling SUV waiting for her.  Others were forced to do her laundry or hold her purse and perform other menial tasks upon demand.

Jackson Lee is the Queen of the Swamp and that swamp needs to be drained.  The quicker the better.
