OCIB Unit Spot Drug Transaction And Arrest Three

Three men have been charged with drug trafficking in New Bedford.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente says the members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau spotted what appeared to be a drug transaction Wednesday night at Belleville Avenue and Coggeshall Street.

Three suspects were taken into custody. They're identified as Dominic King of New Bedford, Vincent Purdie of East Falmouth and Ian Goudreau of Ware, Mass.

Police recovered 47 grams of cocaine, four oxycontin pills and aobut $4,000 in cash. The suspects were scheduled for arraignment in New Bedford District Court.
