There were four cars towed away from the scene of a nine car accident in on I-195 in Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon.

One of the drivers involved in the crash called into WBSM's Phil Paleologos Show the following day and described the experience.

He says the crash took place around 4:30 p.m., which was roughly the same time a downpour hit the area, and he says those downpours were a significant factor.

"When the rain was hitting the ground it was very misty, sorta like clouds," says the caller "so when the cars started piling up in front of me, which was about five cars, you didn't hear skidding because of the wetness of the pavement, so you just heard bangs of the car and what I witnessesed in front of me was that the five cars piling up were getting thrown from left to right."

The caller also says though he tried to swerve and avoid the other cars he was unable to do so.

"There was nowhere to maneuver, my only other option was to slam on the brakes but I couldn't even do that because when I looked in the rear view mirror there was about four more cars coming up behind me."

The caller said there was also a secondary crash involving a tow truck responding to the scene.

Two people were taken to St. Luke's Hospital with minor injuries.
