
New Mass. District Court Judge Nominees Named
Governor Deval Patrick has nominated two Bristol County prosecutors for district court judgeships.
Cynthia Brackett, of Lakeville, who is assigned to the district attorney's homicide unit, was nominated for a vacancy in Taunton District Court to replace Judge Joseph Macy, who has retired and John Stapleton, of Bridgewater, who also works in the homicide unit, was nominated for a vacancy in Fall River District court caused by the retirement of Judge David Turcotte.
Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter, commended both nominees. Both nominations must be approved by the Governor's Council.
