New Bedford Police are investigating a stabbing incident early Saturday morning outside a downtown nightclub.

According to police, three men were stabbed. An uncooperative 32-year-old victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his back, a 23-year-old victim was stabbed in his upper left arm, and a third, 22 year old victim, was stabbed on his left shin and received a minor cut on his nose.

Police were called to St. Luke's Hospital where the victims were being treated and learned that there were three stab victims, one of whom was uncooperative, and two other victims who had been assaulted in an earlier incident outside Club XS, 226 Union St.

Two of the victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment. None of the wounds were considered life threatening.
