According to police, the 2004 Accura was carjacked by a lone male at a Spindle City convenience store on May 1st. The female driver was unharmed and dropped off safely shortly after the incident.

On Saturday, New Bedford Detectives spotted the vehicle in the 7-11 parking lot at Acushnet Ave and Coffin Ave, and immediately arrested 23-year-old Curtis Cruz of New Bedford, and 22-year-old Keith Beland of Attleboro.

Both are charged with receiving a stolen car, and Beland faces an additional charge of possession of a Class B substance, suboxone. They're being arraigned today in New Bedford District Court, but are not believed to be involved in the initial carjacking.
