New Bedford Pet Fest Sunday

The 15th annual Pet Fest and Walk for Animals is being held Sunday in New Bedford's West End.

Pet owners are encouraged to bring their furry friends, especially dogs, to Buttonwood Park for the event, with a walk around the park taking place at noon.

New Bedford Animal Control Officer and organizer Manny Maciel says it's a fun-filled and safe event.

Some of the highlights of the event include a doggie fashion show, the New England Reptile and Raptor Birds of Prey show, and much more.

All proceeds from the event will go towards helping injured, sick, and neglected animals.

The Coalition for Animals 15th annual Pet Fest runs from 11am-3pm Sunday at Buttonwood Park and is MC'd by WBSM's Jack Peterson.
