New Bedford Police have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery of the 7-11 at Allen St and Rockdale Ave early Sunday morning.

35-year-old Craig Medeiros, whose last known address was a halfway house in Quincy, was taken into custody without incident at Harborview Towers on South Second Street this morning. He'll be arraigned on multiple armed robbery charges today in New Bedford District Court.

According to police, Medeiros was involved in a separate incident before the robbery, where he tried to climb through the bedroom window of his ex-girlfriend. The woman's father was able to close the window shut on Medeiros' arm. No charges were filed, and Medeiros was transported to St. Luke's Hospital.

Medeiros then left the hospital against medical advice, and proceeded to rob the 7-11 at knifepoint and take an undetermined amount of cash. The 19 year old clerk was shaken up but unharmed .
