New Bedford Man ODs on Heroin While Driving, Crashes Car [VIDEO]
A City man faces an OUI charge after police say he overdosed in his car and crashed into another vehicle.
New Bedford Police say the 26-year-old man took a right onto Hathaway Street from Ashley Boulevard Tuesday morning when he lost consciousness and drove into a parked car.
When police and firefighters arrived, the unidentified man was unresponsive and a small bag of heroin was on the seat next to him. He was revived with Narcan.
The driver will be summonsed to New Bedford District Court on a charge of operating under the influence of drugs.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
