A New Bedford man in custody has been charged in connection with two robberies in the city over the weekend.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says after interviewing witnesses, recovering clothing and a knife, detectives obtained arrest warrants for 31-year-old Justin Gurn.

Gurn was arrested early Sunday morning on unrelated warrants and is in custody at the Bristol County House of Corrections in Dartmouth.

Gurn has been charged on one count of robbery each for the hold-ups of the JC Variety and Xtra Mart convenience stores Saturday.
