Dartmouth Police arrest a New Bedford man following a shop-lifting incident at Lowe's off Faunce Corner Rd.  According to Public Information Officer Det. Kyle Costa, officers were called to Lowes around noon time on Saturday.  Lowe's security officials had detained 29 year old Adam Ferreira for allegedly shop-lifting items from the store.  Officials said Ferreira also swung a drill at the head of a security officer, and threatened him with a syringe.  Ferreira was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, shoplifting, and possession of a class e substance.  He also had four outstanding warrents.
