NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man is arrested Monday night after an investigation into a cocaine distribution service being run out of his apartment.

Police say 25-year-old Niles John Mello of State Street was charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsquent offense) after police searched his apartment, seizing 30 grams of cocaine along with packaging materials and a scale.

Mello was convicted in 2012 for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
