New Bedford High Loses To Brockton In Big 3 Battle

The New Bedford High Football team lost a Big 3 Conference battle to Brockton High Saturday afternoon 35-12.

Brockton Quarterback Austin Roberts rushed for 252 yards in 17 carries and 2 touchdowns to lead the Boxers attack. New Bedford running back Mike Lajoie carries the ball 14 times for 88 yards and quarterback Mike Rapoza gained 51 yards in 17 carries. New Bedford wraps up the season Thanksgiving Morning at home against winless Durfee while the Super Bowl Bound Boxers host Bridgewater Raynham.

In the Girls State Sectional Volleyball tournement, New Bedford came up short against Barnstable losing 3 games to none while the Fairhaven girls advanced to the Division 2 State Finals on Tuesday night by beating Duxbury 3 games to none.
