New Bedford Health Center Gets Grant

Greater New Bedford residents will be recieving better information on health care, thanks in part to a $131,000 grant to the Greater New Bedford Community Health center. CEO Peter Georgeopolus says the center provides health care and information to all members of the community.

The grant will be used to support the center's benefits department, whose "Navigators" help clients wade through the the complex wave of benefits. The grant may also be used to add more navigators and even allow the center to open on nights and weekends.
