Nail-biting moments during the 36th annual New Bedford Half Marathon held Sunday.

24-year-old Kevin Johnson from New Hampshire took the lead from last year's winner, Matt Pelletier. Johnson tells WBSM News he pulled ahead of Pelletier during the last few miles.

Johnson finished first with a time of 1:06:04.

For the women, in a bit of an upset, Stephanie Reilly, a native of Ireland who now resides in Northbridge, Massachusetts, pulled ahead of Erica Jesseman in the last leg of the race. She tells WBSM News she didn't do anything special throughout the last three miles.

Stephanie finished with a time of 1:15:52. Erica finished nine seconds later.
