New Bedford Firemen Battle South End Blaze

New Bedford firefighters spent an hour extinguishing a fire in a South End home late this morning.The fire began around 10am in the three-family home at 32 Thompson Street.
New Bedford Fire Captain Bob Mourao tells WBSM News while the fire is still under investigation, the origin of the blaze is clear….

Mourao estimates the damage at $75,000.
Eight people were displaced by the fire, and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
No injuries were reported.
