New Bedford Continental Market Robbery

The Continental Market on Sawyer Street was robbed Friday afternoon.  T

he suspect came behind the 47 year old female clerk and grabbed an envelope filled with cash before fleeing in an easterly direction on Sawyer Street. The suspect is described as 5-8, and olive skinned and was last seen wearing dark pants and a blue wool coat with a multi colored hat with a pom pom and ear flaps.

New Bedford Detectives are interested in speaking with a female with a red and white coat who is depicted in surveillance video speaking to the suspect. Both parties are known to frequent the North Front Street area. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tyrone Jones at 508-991-6300 ext 134.
