The Philadelphia 76ers have entered a realm no other team in major United States professional sports has gone.

As it was reported earlier today, starting in the 2017-2018 NBA season, the 76ers will be sporting jerseys with sponsorship logos on them. The lucky company that made the deal is none other than ticket exchange website, StubHub.

It seems quite fitting that the company, which is used by many people as a site to buy and sell sports tickets among tickets for other events, is the first one to link up with a team on jersey sponsorship.

According to an ABC News report, the StubHub logo will be positioned on the front of the jersey, opposite of the Nike Logo.

The NBA is the first of the four major US sports to make a serious push to add sponsorship opportunities through the sale of jersey space.
