The Mass. School Building Authority has awarded Greater New Bedford Voke Tech High School a $12 million grant for additions and renovations at the North End school.  Supt-Director Linda Enos says the school simply needs more classroom space.

Along with more classrooms, the plans call for an addition to the school cafeteria, and renovations to science labs.

Enos says the project is not a sure bet.  The $12 milliion M-S-B-A grant covers about 80% of the total cost; about $17 million.  She says the balance will have to come from the district communities, Dartmouth, Fairhaven and New Bedford.  She says if one community says no, the project will not go foreward.
