The District Attorney's office has announced that a gunshot that killed a Norton man over the weekend was self-inflicted.

Police responded to a home Saturday night on a report of a domestic incident. As police approached the Azalea Road home, someone inside fired several shots through the front door.

Police returned fire and called for additional help. Early Sunday morning, police confirmed that a man was deceased inside the home.

An autopsy done by the Medical Examiner confirmed that the victim, 48 year old Kevin Murray, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death was determined to be suicide.
