A Mattapoisett man is facing charges alleging he stole over $100,000 from an elderly woman in the town.

In a written release, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced that 31-year-old Jason Bobola was arraigned last week in Brockton Superior Court on 11 counts of larceny over $250 on a person 60 or older.

Prosecutors allege Bobola stole the money on various dates between July 2013 and January 2014 by maxing out the elderly woman's credit card, or asking for loans which he promised to pay back.

The victim, whom Bobola called "Gram", lived alone and was on a fixed income.

Bobola was arrested on May 27 after he was indicted by a Plymouth County Grand Jury. He's being held on $30,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court June 29 for a pre-trial hearing.
